How to Play
Each question appears above a colourful Soroban. The top bead on each rod is worth 5 and each bottom bead is worth 1. Tap a bead to slide it to the bar. As soon as the Soroban shows the right answer, you score — no need to press a button!
- Show the number: set the number you see, rod by rod.
- Add: the Soroban starts with the first number — add the second one with your beads.
- Subtract: the Soroban starts with the first number — take the second one away.
- Mix it up: a surprise mix of all three.
Three Ways to Play
Solo Adventure
Ten questions, three hearts and a timer. Answer quickly to earn speed points, and answer in a row to build a streak. Finish with up to three stars and unlock badges like On Fire, Lightning and Perfect Round. Younger children can switch on Relaxed mode to play without a timer.
Party Mode (2–4 players)
Great for siblings, friends and classrooms. Players take turns on the same phone, tablet or computer. Each player gets their own question, and the scoreboard shows who is in the lead. The player with the most points at the end wins.
Duel (2 players)
Two Sorobans, one question, one winner! Both players race to show the answer first. Turn on Face-to-face to lay a tablet flat on the table with the players sitting opposite each other.

- 🏆 Champion — three-digit numbers for confident learners.
Tips for Parents and Teachers
- Use the 💡 Hint button: it explains which friend number to use on which rod.
- 👀 Show me reveals the answer without losing a heart — seeing the bead pattern is part of learning.
- Try the Daily Challenge: everyone gets the same ten questions each day, so a class or family can compare scores.
- Short, regular games work best. Pair the game with our printable worksheets and practice tests, or explore freely on the interactive Soroban board.
